We are the Rio Grande Valley Baptist Association of churches practicing basic Baptist beliefs, cooperating together to pursue a common vision of the transformation of our world. We are located in the four counties generally known as the Rio Grande Valley of Texas comprised of Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo and Starr counties. The Rio Grande Valley Baptist Association is committed to the Great Commission directive to develop disciples locally and globally. We believe that missional churches sent out with transformation in mind are Kingdom-minded and culturally relevant as they contextualize the Gospel message near and far. This Association offers consultation with churches ranging from practical presentations on how to prepare for a missions trip to learning opportunities such as tours of the Valley to show mission projects. We believe involving people directly in missional experiences challenges them to think in different ways, introduces them to new understandings of where God is at work, and results in changed hearts and lives.
